OUR FAITH  

What we believe:

We believe the Bible (all 66 books) is God's Word, inspired by God and is infallible. It is the sole basis for Christian faith and is also the guide for Christian spiritual living and morality.

We believe our Lord is the true God, the triune God of Father, Son and Holy Spirit. They are totally equal in terms of status or importance. They share the same quality, power, glory, and work.

We truly believe that: the true God, our Lord is a Spirit. He is a self-existing and eternal God (“I Am Who I Am”). He is holy, glorious, kind, just, faithful, loving, true, and never changing, one and only, omniscient, omnipresent, and omnipotent. He is an eternal Spirit. He created the heavens and the earth and everything in it. He rules over all things. His thoughts and ways are above those of ours. His will, will be done and no one can stand in His way.

We truly believe that: Jesus Christ, who is both fully God and fully man, is the beloved son of the Father God. He was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary. For the sins of the world, He shed His blood and died on the cross. He was buried but resurrected on the third day and ascended to heaven in front of His disciples. He is sitting at the right hand of God the Father. He is prophet, priest, and king. He acts as our high priest governing over God’s house. He intercedes for us and through the Holy Spirit reveals the truth to us. By His power and command He keeps all things together. Soon He will come in His glorified, resurrected body to receive us to be with him forever.

We truly believe that: the Holy Spirit/Wonderful Counselor causes us to be born again and He will live in us forever. Dwelling in us, being with us, and descending upon us, He will guide, nurture, lead, and fill us; so that our thoughts are constantly renewed and transformed to be more obedient; and the “old-self” in us is constantly decreased while the “new-self” is increased to gradually mold us into the likeness of the Son.

We know, because of sin, people of the world are dead in trespasses and separated from God. Apart from Jesus, we cannot be saved. Only those who believe in the name of Jesus can be saved, be born again, be freely justified, and be reconciled with God (we must guard against heresies that use the name of Jesus). By faith from beginning to end, our new life will grow gradually. We believe that through God’s will, faithfulness, absolute sovereignty and power, His salvation is forever secured.

We believe that: • Christ is the head of the Church and also the foundation of the church. • Church is the house, temple and kingdom of God; and the sovereignty of the church belongs to God. Church is the Body of Christ and every believer is a member of the body. God’s purpose for establishing the Church is to reveal the glory of Christ (Ephesians 1:15 - 23). God has given the church apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors and teachers for the sake of the disciples so that each may do his job to edify the body of Christ. Until we are all united in the truth, know the Son of God and grow in the likeness of Christ, then when Christ returns, the Church is His Bride, so that she may be presented "as a pure virgin...... with a sincere and pure devotion to Christ." (2 Corinthians 11: 2-3)

We believe that Christ will return soon. In the light of that coming glorious, joyful day, we on earth should be vigilant, keep watchful in prayer, ever more obedient to work out our salvation: never stop preparing the bright and clean fine linens for the wedding of the Lamb; do the work that can stand the test of fire; and speak and act according to the law that gives freedom.
